Banner Ads on Google Image Search?

Seems like Google is trying to find new ways to increase its advertisements exposure. Search Engine Land has detected that some banner ads and image ads related to the search terms in Google Images search results. Google responded to this post with an announcements saying that they are always trying to innovate and to improve their search service. You can see the screen shoots of Search Engine Land here.
