Today I have discovered (thanks god that not a minute later, and thanks to my great boss
) the Mozilla FireFox Web Developer add-on. This addon contains EVERYTHING that a webmaster or an SEO person needs.
First of all, there is the possibility to disable various functions on the site, for example disable JavaScript, disable Page colors, disable meta redirects and so on. You can also control on many CSS functions such as quick show of the CSS file of the page, disable styles (then you’ll see a text-only version of the page), edit the CSS and watch the changes (offline of course) and so on. It is awesome! There are many other possibilities to play with the images, to view images sizes (on the site itself), to see images as alt text tags only, hide images and more.
But the best part is without a doubt the “Information” tab. This is tab containing an amazing amount of view options. You can even “edit” the site html and see the changes “online” – which means that I don’t need Dremweaver or Edit Plus anymore! Display Link Details is a great options that shows the URL that each link on the page is pointing to, on the page itself – it’s very easy when checking site navigation and user friendliness. “View Meta Tag Information” gives you a quick, clean view of the meta tags of the page.
With the outline option, you can outline frames, headings (different color to each type) and other html options. This tool actually connect the code with the website visibility and even a non-techie SEO person can understand what’s happening (or not) within the code.
To conclude, this is a great help and has many possibilities. The main advantage of this tool is the fact that it contains all this great features together – what creates the best technical checklist.
Enjoy yourself.

Great post, but no links to the addon
